Wheeled Mobility Device Guideline Trainings
As part of our continuous effort and commitment to ensure that the HUSKY Health Program and Charter Oak Health Plan members receive medically necessary and effective Durable Medical Equipment (DME), the Department of Social Services (DSS) has established guidelines for Wheeled Mobility Device purchase requests.
These guidelines will be posted on the HUSKY Health website in July 2013. In an effort to help prepare for implementation, we have scheduled a series of hands on trainings at:
Community Health Network of CT, Inc.
11 Fairfield Blvd., Suite 1
Wallingford, CT 06492
Please take a moment and register by selecting one of the "Register Here" links below. We encourage you to send a company representative(s) who will be available to provide in-company training, and who will also be able to offer assistance to health care practitioners involved in the wheeled mobility device evaluations; e.g., Assistive Technology Professionals, Funding Coordinators, etc.
Webinars & Forums
These webinars and forums will serve as an introduction to the new HUSKY Health Program and the Charter Oak Health Plan that has replaced the existing managed care model effective January 1, 2012. The webinars are hosted by representatives from Community Health Network of Connecticut, Inc., the state Department of Social Services and HP Enterprise Services.
