To promote health equity through the maternity bundle, HUSKY Health will:

  • Address and remedy disparities of access, utilization, and outcomes for pregnant women
  • Place particular emphasis on women of color, women with substance use disorders, and women with a high social vulnerability index, as these are the women disproportionately affected by health disparities
  • Center the lived experiences of HUSKY Health members in the way we design and implement the maternity bundle
  • Include bundle elements that promote equitable access to care and supports (e.g., doulas, breastfeeding supports)
  • Examine all services through the lens of race and ethnicity to ensure we are working to close health equity gaps

Enhancements to the HUSKY Health Provider Directory

Our provider directory page has some new options. We have included search capabilities by race, ethnicity, telehealth services, and LGBTQ+ supportive services. These additional features allow members to find the provider that best fits their needs. You can access the provider directory by clicking here.

Find Policies on HUSKY Health Provider Website

New keyword and categorical search features have been added to the Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines page of the HUSKY Health Provider Website. These clinical policies are used, along with the Department of Social Services’ (DSS’) definition of medical necessity, to review prior authorization requests for covered goods and services.

Member Renewal Date on Primary Care Provider Patient Panel Reports

We want you to have direct access to information regarding your HUSKY Health patients. The HUSKY Health secure provider web portal provides you with a variety of reports on your patients, regarding topics such as: gaps in care, notification of admissions, ED utilization, and much more. . . read more

You can view important information for the adult and child patients attributed to you on your Patient Panel report available on the secure provider web portal.

We have included the “Renewal Status Date,” on the patient panel reports. This helps you know when your HUSKY Health members are coming up for renewal with their Medicaid coverage. We encourage members to re-enroll, and we provide them email reminders the month before their renewal due date. Multiple communications are provided to members through the HUSKY Health and DSS websites, along with social media posts on the importance of renewing.

To access the reports, you must first set up an account on the HUSKY Health secure provider web portal by visiting portal.ct.gov/husky, clicking “Information For Providers,” then “Provider Login.” Once you have an account, you will be able to request access to your reports.
