We want to make sure you’re comfortable receiving communications from HUSKY Health and other trusted organizations you regularly work with. The tips provided below will help you protect your finances and personal information and ensure you’re safe when responding to phone and digital communications.
If you have a question about whether an email or other communication you’ve received is from HUSKY Health, call us at 1.800.859.9889 to confirm.
There are ways you can check to see if an email may be from someone who is trying to steal your information.
Look at the email carefully and check to see if:
If you don’t trust the email, don’t respond to the sender, and delete the email. Don’t click on any link or attachment, including “unsubscribe” or “SPAM” links. Don’t use customer support numbers, websites, or chats provided in suspicious emails. To check if it was from a business you regularly use, call them by using a legitimate phone number (e.g., phone number provided on back of credit card) to see if they sent the email. This will also alert them of the fraud attempt.
Phone calls and texts are another way people may try to get you to do something you shouldn’t so they can get to your personal information. It’s important to be aware of the following methods they may use.
Keep your phone updated by responding to updates promptly so your phone has the most current security settings. You can set up your phone to do updates automatically under Settings.
During your first time sending or receiving an email with this system you’ll need to create an account with a new password. You'll use this information to log in each time you want to send a secure email. You'll also use it to log in when you receive a secure email from HUSKY Health. When creating your new account, you’ll receive an email from Proofpoint. Enter the code from the email in the field provided to complete your registration.
When sending your email, address it to member@chnct.org. You can ask questions about your HUSKY Health coverage, such as what benefits are available. You can also find out how to a get a new blue and white HUSKY Health member ID card.
